Who's Who in Cycling

Hey Masters... So on a side note!
.
It's funny how when you read or do something how certain things or people might come to mind. There I was kinda casually looking over the up and coming races on the NCNCA web site, when I noticed on June 7th we had something called Ross' Epic Hill Climb! Now though I'm not a climber, I had always thought this might be a fun one to try. Maybe kind of... Might, might not! Maybe sort of. We'll see... Probably not! Maybe... Then as I read the course description I had a flash back of a Race Report that I had just read. Within his great report I remember reading something that has stuck in my mind, and now ranks right up there with one of my most inspirational sayings!
.
Quote: "I moved to the front and brought the pace up several miles an hour... another rider interpreted this as an attack and exploded up to and around me. Albeit so early in the race I was game for a little action, so I matched his effort and away we went."
.
"I was game for a little action" Wow! I have a new hero.
.
This guy writes Race Reports has access to the Masters mailer, rides with us, sends us emails about rides that he's doing... Usally going up! All in all a real great guy... But sadly he is only 31. What a shame, kinda sorta. So when I read the course decription of Ross...
.
Quote: "There is no hill as steep as Ross'. And so when you reach the top of Pine Flat, by comparison, your struggles do not compare. Ross' Epic is a gesture, inadequate at best, of humility towards the challenges that lie ahead. And not just the challenges that Ross Dillon will face, but those we all face... In less than two weeks we can stop worrying about them, and throw down."
.
Who comes too mind! This guy rides a 22+lb bike, and climbs like the animal pictured above. So is he going to do this Race? Don't know, don't care. If he does great, if he doesn't great. It is just an observation on how we put things or events to people or a person.
.
Just felt like doing something... Yup!
.
Ciao

Indeed.

If you're still not sure who this is,
all I'm going to tell you is that his initials are MGM.
